Twice, this South Actor rejected the film starring megastar Chiranjeevi

One of the most popular and in-demand performers in the South Asian film business is megastar Chiranjeevi. Waltair Veerayya, his most recent film, ended up becoming the third-highest earning Telugu movie of 2023. In a different film, Bhola Shankar, which was a remake of the Tamil film Vedalam, Chiranjeevi appeared. Bhola Shankar was a box office flop. He is now preparing for his next film, Vishwambhara, which is helmed by Mallidi Vassishta. To this day, Chiranjeevi is so famous that he is in high demand by directors and actors alike. You may be surprised to hear that one actor turned down Chiranjeevi’s movie three times.

The actor is none other than Prithviraj Sukumaran, a well-known Malayalam actor. He is now occupied with the promotion of Aadujeevitham, also known as The Goat Life, a highly anticipated film. This month is the film’s scheduled release date. Amidst his promotional blitz, he recounted a comical episode in which he turned down two of Chiranjeevi’s films due to his involvement with Aadujeevitham.

Prithviraj Sukumaran said in the interview that Chiranjeevi had contacted him in 2017 about a part in the epic film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Since Prithviraj Sukumaran was then preoccupied with filming Aadujeevitham, he was forced to decline the offer. He had grown a beard for the film and was dedicated to the project.

Chiranjeevi was advertising Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Kerala in 2019 concurrently with the release of Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. It marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran. Chiranjeevi’s crew contacted him again after purchasing the rights to remake Lucifer in Telugu. He had to say no once again, as he was preoccupied with Aadujeevitham.

Prithviraj Sukumaran was occupied with Aadujeevitham’s production during that period. He stated that Aadujeevitham’s production effort was stretched out over more than 10 years.

Regarding Aadujeevitham, Blessy is the director. The film’s production began in 2018, and on March 28, it will finally hit theaters after many postponements. The film is an adaptation of Benyamin’s 2008 Malayalam book of the same name. The book was inspired by a real-life event. The lead in Aadujeevitham will be played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. He’ll portray Najeeb, a laborer from Saudi Arabia who is pushed into slavery as an immigrant.
